Here is an example of a customer retention campaign structure.

Let's use a restaurant as an example.

1) Customer comes into the restaurant and at the end of their meal is presented with an offer to text "OFFER" to xxx-xxx-xxx to get a free dessert.

2) They text the number and get an opt-in confirmation for you to send them messages in the future. They reply with "yes", "confirm" etc.

3) After confirming they get a second text which they show to a member of staff - redeem the voucher or offer and enjoy the experience you provide them.

4) Your restaurant can now send them a message whenever you wish - you may have an offer you'd like to promote, new menu item, free gift, competition (the 23rd person to show us this text message this week wins dinner for two), "bring a friend tonight and they you both get 20% off, or maybe you want to capture more data from them with surveys and data acquisition.
